Our impact

Timber Bay

With escalating socioeconomic issues, teen referrals have outpaced Elk River Timber Bay resources. A TRCF grant has enabled it to expand its much-needed mentor services to help disadvantaged youth build critical life-skills for successful adult living.

We are so appreciative of the grant from TRCF, which is helping us continue reaching out to hurting teens! With the grant monies, we were able to expand our one-on-ones immediately, and resume providing recreational activities and camp scholarships that we couldn’t otherwise afford.

A positive adult, engaged in a young person’s life, is the most powerful tool in our arsenal. Timber Bay’s dedicated staff bring an average 15 years of service to disadvantaged youth in the area.

Ultimately, what may be most rewarding is demonstrating to our youth that we will continue to be an active part of their lives and that we are working diligently to provide them opportunities to have intentional friendships with adults that are completely dedicated to their success.
